The brief was to transform an old rough patio area into a decked patio that would act as an extension to the living room and would itself be sufficiently separate from the garden to stop pets and children escaping into the garden as a whole
The first task is to level the site and
then to cover it in a weed proof
membrane to prevent weeds from
growing underneath and up through
the finished deck.
I then constructed a series of solid level
pads to support the deck.
A frame is built from pressure treated timber to support the decking, it is then lifted into place on top of the system of level pads.
